字體普華永道會計師事務所名稱的由來

塞繆爾普萊斯1849年在倫敦開始了他的會計師生涯，1865年與威廉一起工作

威廉霍利蘭(WilliamHolyland)和埃德溫沃特豪斯(EdwinWaterhouse)組建了合伙會計師事務所，霍利蘭很快退出了合伙。1874年，該公司被命名為普萊斯，沃特豪斯公司，后來被稱為普華。

和普華永道一樣，普華永道也起源于19世紀。1854年，威廉庫珀在倫敦成立了自己的會計事務所，取名為庫珀兄弟因為他三個兄弟的參與。1898年，羅伯特h蒙哥馬利(RoberH.Montgomery)、威廉m萊布蘭德(WilliamM.Lybrand)、亞當a羅斯(AdamA.Ross)和他的兄弟t愛德華羅斯(T.EdwardRoss)在美國成立了一家名為萊布蘭德羅斯蒙哥馬利兄弟(Lybrand，RossBrothersMontgomery)的會計師事務所。1957年，兩家公司合并為庫珀萊布藍德，后來永道。

1998年，PriceWaterhouse和CoopersLybrand合并為普華永道(PwC)，即普華永道。

普華永道在香港被稱為普華永道。香港最早的會計師事務所是羅炳賢會計師事務所，即1903年成立的羅炳賢會計師事務所。1909年，來自上海的馬修斯加入羅炳賢的事務所的英文名改為Lowe，BinghamMatthews(LBM)，隨后開始與普華永道緊密合作，成為其在香港的聯(lián)絡處。1974年，LBM發(fā)展成為普華國際的一員。

容永道于1962年在香港創(chuàng)立了容永道會計師事務所。事務所開業(yè)兩年后，全球八大會計師事務所之一的庫珀萊布藍德(CoopersLybrand)在香港尋找合作伙伴，最終向容永道伸出了橄欖枝。成為八大會計師事務所之一后，容永道會計師事務所迅速擴張，并于1981年在上海開設了辦事處。是全球八大會計師事務所中首家在內(nèi)地設立分所的事務所，開創(chuàng)了香港會計師事務所及合伙人代表中國八大會計師事務所培養(yǎng)人才、發(fā)展業(yè)務、專業(yè)服務國家的歷史。

改革開放后，普萊斯沃特豪斯進入中國。為了避免經(jīng)常被翻譯成昂貴的水屋，PriceWaterhouse在中國采用中文音譯，就是普華國際會計公司。1992年，財政部會計司領導在審批普華永道提出的審計許可申請時，圈出了普和華，一個眾所周知的會計職業(yè)的名字就這樣誕生了。

庫珀萊布藍德在中國的中文譯名以庫珀斯拉布蘭德。香港會計師容永道可以Idon’我不接受庫珀萊布藍德國際會計公司的中文音譯名稱，因為萊品牌意味著沒有收獲或者沒有收獲在粵語里，這是不吉利的。后來，他提議將公司命名為永道，也就是永遠是道德的，合理的，公平的。事實上，會計師事務所永道的命名代表了國際會計師事務所在中國本土化發(fā)展的第一步。

普華永道被稱為子承在臺灣地區(qū)。

1970年，朱和兩位在臺灣會計界頗有影響的人士共同創(chuàng)辦了朱晨會計師事務所。

1973年，祝辰會計師事務所加入普華國際。在1975年3月，祝辰會計師事務所被正式更名為紫城會計師事務所，和單詞朱晨意味著子承用上海話。
